MIB 13 (MIB Be26)

With a length of only 4.99km the Meiringen - Innertkirchen line is one of the shortest in Switzerland. Operated indenpendetly by the local energy supplier Kraftwerke Oberhasli AG it was built initially for transporting materials to the building sites of the energy plants. Nowadays it is operated mainly as passenger rail line. As it has stations on the East and West (photographed here) of the famous Aare River Gorge it is frequent used by tourists. Since last year the Be 2/6 #13 is mainly used to serve the line. It was purchased second hand from another swiss railway.
