Switzerland is green with plenty of trees - this doesn't fit for the Bernina Pass. With a height of 2253m above sealevel Ospizio Bernina - the summit station - is the highest mountain crossing in europe. No tunnel is interfering the stunning view. Here ABe 8/12 3515 has left Ospizio Bernina and is winding along the shore of "Lago Bianco". What follows is a steep and long way down to the italian town of Tirano (429m above sealevel).
