MOB 4003 (MOB ABDe8_8)

2017 was the last summer when all of the four MOB ABDe 8/8 4001 - 4004 were in service. In fall 2017 a special event took place in Lenk, when all four units took place in a special parade. Here we see ABDe 8/8 4004 on the return of this event in golden evening light. ABDe 8/8 4003 was scrapped soon afterwards, the three still existing units serve as last reserve and most of the time they sit idle in Zweisimmen and Montreux.

Es ist nicht nur schade um diese Triebwagen, sondern auch um die lebhafte Farbgebung, die die MOB mit diesen Triebwagen aufgegeben hat. Die war sehr viel fotogener in der Landschaft als das dunkelblau-crème, das zu konservativ aussah...
