Seven road locomotives up front and two DPU (unmanned helpers) lift this expedited manifest train out of California's Central Valley and start the long hard climb over the Tehachapi Mountains. Ahead lies the famous Tehachapi Loop and then the Mojave Desert. The train consists mostly of canned food products (tomato paste, sauce,etc) for eastern markets. March 10, 2013.
