SNCF 241P 17 (SNCF 241P)

The 241 P "moutain" class' locomotives are former powerfull and rapid steam engines which were dedicated to pull former SNCF express train. The probably most famous of these express trains was the "Mistral" from Paris to Nice.

The loco which had been retired of service when the French National Railways decided to abandon the steam traction, has found a new life in association "241P 17 Le Creusot". The loco regularly makes special sicrulation through France. It is viwed in Dannemarie while flying over the monstruous "Viaduc de la Largue" with a short train composed of a DEV inox, a former SNCB USI and 2 UIC.
