The MÁV Class V43 electric locomotives, manufactured by Ganz-MÁVAG and commonly known as "Szili" or "Szilikon", are progressively being superseded by the more contemporary Bombardier TRAXX and Siemens Vectron models. Locomotive 431 193-6 is pictured here pulling a northbound Intercity train bound for Budapest, just prior to its arrival at Ferihegy, which is located adjacent to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport.
