The era of E2 series Shinkansen high-speed trains will come to end soon, last remaining sets will be withdrawn from service during 2025. Currently JR East is utilizing them on few Nasuno and Yamabiko services on Tohoku Shinkansen, while most services are overtaken by newer E5 series trains
