Medway 1909 (Medway 1900)

Alsthom Sorefame built Medway 1909 with a 1000 ton long rails transport train from Entroncamento to Casa Branca and intended for the 80 km new Évora - Elvas line, which construction is well underway.
Several small cranes where installed on a couple of sidings at Casa Branca, presumably to unload and store or directly transfer the rails on to more suited track work wagons, sparing the last ones long and costly trips to pick up new rail too far away from the construction site.
