Medway 4717 (Medway 4700)
I decided to publish this photo because of the several contrasts and points in common with the previous one. The mysterious ghost town and its rural landscape, that has remained unchanged over the years, is totally detached from the urban and anthropized context of Porto. Even the Do Coa bridge is in contrast with the Dom Luís I bridge, even if the yellow-black livery of the D line is recalled by the Medway corporate colours.
The 4717, named Mariana, travelling on the Linha do Beira Alta with a steel cargo from the Spanish border of Vilar Formoso and directed to the Penalva station, was captured while Crossing the Do Coa bridge built in 1948 to replace an earlier one placed a few meters further north.
